Maritime Southerner

Born in Almería, Spain, in the wonderful Andalusia surrounded by the Mediterranean, Mar Cantón aka Kiki learnt about art by creating from feelings and dreams that are born within her. She’s self-taught.

“Sureña” y “Marina” — “Maritime Southerner” —, since her family roots are in Cádiz and she lives in Seville, Mar studied Advertising & Marketing and worked freelance as a Graphic Designer and Advertising Creative Executive for Communication Agencies. A chronic and degenerative disease has kept her away from the marketplace for 10 years, so now more than ever, art is undoubtedly her best therapy as well as her Life, past, present and future.
