about Julie Dillon

Julie Dillon has been drawing most of her life, but she officially kicked off her professional career in 2006 and has been working steadily since then to keep learning, growing, and challenging herself artistically. She loves finding the magic in the world around her, and tries to use bold color and fantastical narratives to express that. In her free time, she enjoys hiking and exploring nature, making pottery, and volunteering at a local equine rescue.

In the early 2000s, Julie found the digital concept art community and started getting into that. Photoshop just ended up being the tool she used in the most, and it became the one she was most skilled with because she put more hours into it than other media. She received her BFA in Fine Arts from Sacramento State University in 2005, with continued education at the Academy of Arts University in San Francisco and Watts Atelier.
