Feeding Swans in the Snow
about Marcin Ryczek
Simplicity, minimalism and reference to graphic arts, these are the characteristic features in Marcin Ryczek’s photography. Symbols and geometric shapes impart philosophical matter to his images, they raise questions and provide deeper reflection. The most important entity which connects all his works is a man, with their “multidimensionality” accented by the use of simple symbols and thoughtful composition.
The picture which put him over in the photography world is titled A Man Feeding Swans in the Snow: it was accepted to the prestigious collection of the Bibliotheque Nationale de France, used numerous times as the theme of the international festival of documentary films “Festival Punto de Vista”, held in Spain, and at the 200th anniversary of the birth of Richard Wagner in Germany. Born in Poland, in 1982, Marcin’s photos have been published in the press and other media around the world.
