Waiting a while

about Eric Droussent

Born in 1964, Eric Droussent made his first steps in photography with an argentic camera. He learned to look, to compose, view, plan, anticipate and move the settings before pressing the shutter button and, above all, to wait a while before achieving a result. And sometimes, when the wait goes a little longer, some subjects can take different forms and born into a new life, depending on your surreal potential.

Inspired by great masters like Man Ray, René Magritte and Chema Madoz, the one of Eric is a journey to the land of the imaginary, on the cross-roads leading to the borders of the absurd. It’s about installations and assemblages bursting into still lifes, the typical childlike French irony is here.
