Eternal tourists of ourselves

about Louis Treserras

There is no landscape
but what we are

Painter and photographer from a welcoming attic in Toulouse, France, Louis Treserras really loves to mix his means in view of a universal result. In his art journey, photography comes from his work as a painter, but it’s not an alternative to the limits of the canvas since, according to him, painting has no limits but our own.

Inspired by Renaissance and Pre-Raphaelite painting, by painters like Jean-Marie-Joseph Ingres, Jacques-Louis David, Jan Vermeer, William-Adolphe Bouguereau and photographers like Joyce Tenneson or Gregory Colbert, he started photographing friends and girlfriends, always trying to look from the heart, letting the beauty of things charm him, controlling light.

Louis’s nudes, even when enveloped in a veil of eroticism, suggests somewhat delicacy and naturalness. We just have to admire their essence.
