Photographic Act
about Giuseppe Palmisano
Grew up in the theatre as an actor, using Guy Bourdin as inspiration, today Giuseppe Palmisano directs his models through some real photographic “acts”. He doesn’t plan his works, since he rather prefers playing with actors and models, improvising. All is spontaneous and it comes naturally. The result is s not only a photo, but all very theatrical.
“I think artists do not see world differently — however, they surely have a different perception. Instead, artists have the ability to create what they see in the world“.
Seizing the moment and looking for beauty in everyday life seem to be the fundamental themes of the purest shots by Giuseppe. You can find faceless bodies of teenagers, lampshades, curtains and various household items that open a surreal dialogue in which each observer can invent a story. Born in 1990, Giuseppe lives in Bologna, Italy.
