about Alex Nabaum
Through his illustrations, Alex Nabaum dealt with issues like the industrial pollution, deforestation, political TV attack ads, personal debt, infertility in women, intelligence — that supposedly has more to do with practice than the genetics —, the international trafficking of organs, the rehabilitation of addicts and criminals — by giving them work in the recycling industry —, the increase of healthier choices in school cafeterias — by a few very inexpensive presentation tweaks —, issues concerning the veg food — that would be as masculine and nutritious as the non-veg food —, the ease with which we agree to online legal forms — without even realizing the harsh consequences contained in the legalese —, the way people can behave differently online, etc.
Grew up in Colorado, Alex has worked as a KFC fry cook, grocery bagger, library shelver, running treadmill tester, caricature artist, t-shirt designer, newspaper staff artist, and for the last 15 years as a freelance illustrator. Unlike usual illustrators, the specialty of his works is not their color or their visual appeal but the meaningfulness of each and every illustration that instantly strikes our mind. He works for popular newspapers and magazines like TIME, Newsweek, WIRED, RollingStone, Wall Street Journal, New York Times, and many others.
